Grandparents are adored and finding the perfect gift can prove difficult. This piece of artwork captures the essence of what our Grandparents mean to us all. With this piece of framed art, I have used Seaham’s world famous natural sea glass to create my Grandparents. I have used grey sea glass to create the scene. An acrylic finish has been used to give the sea glass a ‘wet look’, creating a vibrant sheen to each piece of glass.
Each bird sits on a sycamore branch that has also been found in our Gran’s garden. Forest green sea glass leaves have been added to their perch. Sea glass from Seaham beach that has been worn smooth by the action of the North Sea waves over many years has been used in this design.
