Description
This piece of framed sea glass art is perfect for a new arrival or a christening present. To create this family I have used Seaham’s natural ‘sea foam’ glass and a very special ‘Seaham multi’. A ‘Seaham Multi’ a single piece glass with different layers of colour. This ‘multi’ has cornflower and sapphire blue tones. The colour spectrum of blue sea glass is wide-ranging from almost black glass, to subtle cornflower blues and through to rich cobalt tones.
I have used an acrylic finish to give the sea glass a ‘wet look’, creating a vibrant sheen to each piece of glass. The proud parents sit on a piece of white pottery found on Seaham beach that has been worn smooth by the action of the North Sea waves for over 170 years.
